I took the desert safari private tour. Overall, it's a good tour but the sand boarding part is a big farce. The activity/ board look nothing like the ones that were advertised. Moreover, me (and some people in other tour parties) couldn't even slide down a couple of feet. There were no guides and one of the tour folks told me that the sand was not suitable for boarding. I would expect a quarter of tour amount back because this was one of the 4 advertised activities. If I could get a refund for that, I'd appreciate the customer service.

My goodness. I cannot rate this trip highly enough. It was absolutely fab and great value for money. Our driver guide Muhammad Togeer was amazing. We felt safe but totally exhilarated with his expert 4x4 dunes drive. Photo opportunities as the sun was setting, Bedouin BBQ buffet was plentiful and delicious, and the evenings entertainment was brilliant. This trip is a must!

Mr Hamad was a perfect guide and very accessible person. On our way to trip he shared with us information about Dubai and the culture. That enhanced our Safari experience. He is and excellent driver and adjusting the trip to our needs. Thank you for this wonderful experience and we surely will recommend you to our friends.

This was a great half day trip. We were picked up on time by our guide, Ijaz, who was great fun and educational. We wanted the morning only trip as we thought the whole day would be too much for our kids in 40 degree heat (As it happens, we were right). The dune bashing itself is totally unique...those with a faint stomach may struggle with the movement, but we loved it. We also did the quad bikes (all very safe and well organised) and a camel ride. All in all, it was a great way to show the kids the sweet and to try a few new activities. Very glad we did it.

Before we set off our journey to the desert we manage to buy a few traditional accessories~ and when we reach the desert~ it is very huge and big! We had great fun dune bashing and our guide, Ijaz, was really good. He clearly had a lot of experience and ensured we had a good time. We only selected the dune bashing and waited round while others went camel riding / quad biking so cannot comment on those activities. Well, firstly would like to thank the entire Rayna Team especially Rohit for arranging this excellent trip for us. My whole family had a fabulous experience all through the journey. My kids loved the quad biking experience. Never felt that the desert trip would be so adventurous, full of unique surprises and offerings. Easy to book with couple emails, easy payment and no hazzle. Deal was to include pickup from hotel (original estimate 0830), dune bashing, possibility to ride camel, quad, etc. And drop back to hotel. Pickup was done around 09:00, another customer pickup and off we went. We drove around 1h, stopped for local shop, where they lowered tire pressure. Possibility for washroom activities also, but dont expect Hilton hotel style ;) Dune bashing was great fun. Driver drove up and down for about 20 minutes and then stopped to some kind camp. There was possibility to take pictures, drive quad or ride camel. Thise cost extra off course. Fresh drinks for free. After about 1h-1,5h we took off and the driver dropped us back to hotel. Nice driver, polite. A bit mass style safari still. And I expected dune to be a bit different, bigger.. I would do it again after couple of years.

Our family of four recently took a Rayna Tours morning trip into the nearby desert. Our driver, Faruq, was excellent - full of interesting information, humour and a very good driver (as he negotiated the dunes !). Going in the morning is recommended if you don’t want to be a part of the much bigger and more commercial/touristy, evening tours. The camel ride was fun and something a bit different - but only do it if you don’t mind the fact that you’ll be aiding and abetting them being used for tourists’ pleasure. My husband & I booked last minute, all good, picked us up in the morning from our hotel, we were sharing the car with another 2 guys from the US...i thought we were lucky that it was 2 guys & was looking forward to some hard core dune bashing...i was wrong...one of the guys was a 'girl'...he felt like throwing up & we weren't even going fast...ruined it for us that's for sure. Lesson to be learnt, hire a private car, no sharing as you never know who the other passengers are! The driver was fantastic, the desert was amazing, we were lucky it was a quiet day so it was just us there! The guys from the US decided to hire the quad bikes which was perfect for us as we wanted to do a camel ride! The young man who joined us guiding the camel was lovely & so we had a beautiful camel ride, it was so perfect & peaceful & exactly what we were hoping for! We returned to the camp to find out that the guys from the US had an awful time, one of them, the 'girl', fell off the quad bike & broke both his front teeth & so now he really had something to complaint about...the driver of our tour did make it clear to them that because it had rained the day before, the sand was hard & so it was dangerous to ride the quad bikes & for them to be very careful & not go fast but boys will be boys...so we rushed back to the car & took off driving slow in case the injured guy was going to throw up & that was the end of that...i would love to return to the desert but in a private car! #lovedubai #safari #desertsafari Thank you Rayna Tours, Anthea & Peter

My mum and I did the Sunrise desert safari starting at 4am pick up then we were back to the hotel for around 8.30am so we still has the rest of the day to do other things. This tour was one of the best I've ever been on, includes sand boarding, camel ride, quad biking and lots of photo opportunities. I highly recommend this especially if your time is short in Dubai, you get to see a different part of Dubai and because it's so early the whole day is then free. It is a must-do activity in Dubai! Rayna Tours offered us a comfortable ride from our hotel to the desert. The safari started with dune bashing which was thrilling. We then took quad biking and explored much of the desert. The Red Dunes was perfect for sandboarding and we enjoyed it.

My friend and I booked a private sunrise desert safari tour and had an amazing time with our driver Fakhar from Rayna Tours. We got to personalize our trip to be exactly what we wanted to do: dune bashing, quad biking, and sunrise photography. Fakhar was an excellent experienced driver, and was very informative about Dubai's culture and the UAE history in general. He was also an amazing photographer :) Definitely recommend this trip!!

Had an amazing time in the morning safari with my husband and my 2yo baby. Everything was exceptional, the safari was scary on the dunes, but my baby was enjoying a lot, the driver was very careful and sociable ( sadly I don’t remember his name). The price was all worth it. Thank you Rayna tours!

This was a great half day trip. We were picked up on time by our guide, Ijaz, who was great fun and educational. We wanted the morning only trip as we thought the whole day would be too much for our kids in 40 degree heat (As it happens, we were right). The dune bashing itself is totally unique...those with a faint stomach may struggle with the movement, but we loved it. We also did the quad bikes (all very safe and well organised) and a camel ride. All in all, it was a great way to show the kids the sweet and to try a few new activities. Very glad we did it.

It’s a lot of fun!! So much sand! So many camels~ the sand ride is very thrilling! And very exciting! Not too overally scary but it is very fun and safe! Before we set off our journey to the desert we manage to buy a few traditional accessories~ and when we reach the desert~ it is very huge and big! The camel are very nice~ driver are friendly too~ the whole journey pass so fast~ I wish I could stay longer there! Very good! Trust worthy, safe, fun, exciting, friendly! Worth to travel with!

We had great fun dune bashing and our guide, Ijaz, was really good. He clearly had a lot of experience and ensured we had a good time. We only selected the dune bashing and waited round while others went camel riding / quad biking so cannot comment on those activities. Ijaz was good in checking on us without forcing us to do other activities.

It was a royal experience being picked up in a chauffeur-driven luxury car. We received a royal treatment every stage of our journey. Well, firstly would like to thank the entire Rayna Team especially Rohit for arranging this excellent trip for us. My whole family had a fabulous experience all through the journey. My kids loved the quad biking experience. Never felt that the desert trip would be so adventurous, full of unique surprises and offerings. Special thanks to Sunil, our tour-guide and Khalil, our driver. We never felt like a tourist in your presence.

Easy to book with couple emails, easy payment and no hazzle. Deal was to include pickup from hotel (original estimate 0830), dune bashing, possibility to ride camel, quad, etc. And drop back to hotel. Pickup was done around 09:00, another customer pickup and off we went. We drove around 1h, stopped for local shop, where they lowered tire pressure. Possibility for washroom activities also, but dont expect Hilton hotel style ;) Dune bashing was great fun. Driver drove up and down for about 20 minutes and then stopped to some kind camp. There was possibility to take pictures, drive quad or ride camel. Thise cost extra off course. Fresh drinks for free. After about 1h-1,5h we took off and the driver dropped us back to hotel. Nice driver, polite. A bit mass style safari still. And I expected dune to be a bit different, bigger.. I would do it again after couple of years.

Our family of four recently took a Rayna Tours morning trip into the nearby desert. Our driver, Faruq, was excellent - full of interesting information, humour and a very good driver (as he negotiated the dunes !). Going in the morning is recommended if you don’t want to be a part of the much bigger and more commercial/touristy, evening tours. The camel ride was fun and something a bit different - but only do it if you don’t mind the fact that you’ll be aiding and abetting them being used for tourists’ pleasure. Overall, we would recommend Rayna - thanks to Faruq for a fun morning !.

My husband & I booked last minute, all good, picked us up in the morning from our hotel, we were sharing the car with another 2 guys from the US...i thought we were lucky that it was 2 guys & was looking forward to some hard core dune bashing...i was wrong...one of the guys was a 'girl'...he felt like throwing up & we weren't even going fast...ruined it for us that's for sure. Lesson to be learnt, hire a private car, no sharing as you never know who the other passengers are! The driver was fantastic, the desert was amazing, we were lucky it was a quiet day so it was just us there! The guys from the US decided to hire the quad bikes which was perfect for us as we wanted to do a camel ride! The young man who joined us guiding the camel was lovely & so we had a beautiful camel ride, it was so perfect & peaceful & exactly what we were hoping for! We returned to the camp to find out that the guys from the US had an awful time, one of them, the 'girl', fell off the quad bike & broke both his front teeth & so now he really had something to complaint about...the driver of our tour did make it clear to them that because it had rained the day before, the sand was hard & so it was dangerous to ride the quad bikes & for them to be very careful & not go fast but boys will be boys...so we rushed back to the car & took off driving slow in case the injured guy was going to throw up & that was the end of that...i would love to return to the desert but in a private car! #lovedubai #safari #desertsafari Thank you Rayna Tours, Anthea & Peter

My mum and I did the Sunrise desert safari starting at 4am pick up then we were back to the hotel for around 8.30am so we still has the rest of the day to do other things. This tour was one of the best I've ever been on, includes sand boarding, camel ride, quad biking and lots of photo opportunities. I highly recommend this especially if your time is short in Dubai, you get to see a different part of Dubai and because it's so early the whole day is then free. Our tour guide was very friendly and helpful, giving us lots of information and taking many photos for us. Thanks again Rayna Tours
